What's On My iPad

For my college graduation, I asked for the 11 inch iPad Pro and I am completely obsessed with it.  I bought the Apple Pencil to go with it as well with my own money, and it is a complete game changer.  While the iPad Pro is so great on its own, I wanted to start digitally planning and keeping everything in one place and the Apple Pencil helps me do just that!  So while I definitely recommend it, it's not necessary.  I also have this gold case from Amazon on it that I absolutely love!  It's basically the exact same as the Apple ones but way cheaper which I am always game for.

AMAZON // What can I say, I'm an Amazon addict!  I'm connected to my mom's Prime account so I can get basically anything I want in just a few days.  Huge Amazon gal.

PRIME VIDEO // My mom and I are obsessed with The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and I also purchased and downloaded Bohemian Rhapdosy to watch on my flight from St. Louis to Phoenix back in March for spring break.  I don't use it that much but when I do use it it's pretty awesome.

GOOGLE DRIVE // My whole life is on Google Drive.  Documents from my internship last year, everything for my blog, school assignments, random lists I make, spreadsheets for job searching and so much more.  I may be an avid Apple product user, but when it comes to applications it's all about Google for me!

FACEBOOK // I don't use Facebook super often anymore, but I'm in a ton of Facebook groups so it's nice to be able to sit and read through them or just scroll through it every now and then when I'm bored.

TWITTER // I mainly use Twitter on my phone, but I added it to my iPad for kind of the same reason as Facebook.  To scroll through when I'm bored or to access notifications while I'm on it.

GOOGLE DOCS // The only thing I don't like about the Google Drive app is that you have to have downloaded all of the Google apps to edit your documents.  I don't use this super often but there have been times when I've needed to edit one of my docs on the fly so it's super convenient to have on my iPad.

KINDLE // YOU GUYS.  I freaking love reading on my iPad!!!! I had a Kindle Fire that recently died on me and I've been reading through the Kindle app on my phone, but it is such a game changer on the iPad.  It feels like a bigger version of a Kindle and is so easy to download books you already have from the cloud or add new books from Amazon.

LINKEDIN // Another social media app I use to scroll through, answer messages, and check notifications on the fly.  There's currently a notification staring me in the face right now!  Another app that I like having on my iPad to use on the fly or on the go.

TUMBLR // Yes, Tumblr.  I am vintage.  Okay kidding.  But I've had it since I was in high school and look through it for aesthetic purposes still.  And I always post on there when a new blog post goes up so follow me on Tumblr lol (missouri-sass).

SKILLSHARE // Skillshare is actually pretty cool.  They have classes for literally everything you could ever imagine.  It is a monthly subscription, but I got a code for two free months from someone I watch on YouTube.  So I'm using it to learn about content creation, blogging, and other things like that to create the best content and experience for you guys as I can.  I also get weekly emails about suggested classes for me which is super helpful.  And after my free two months I'm probably going to cancel just because it is a subscription service and I don't want to be draining my bank right now, but I definitely really like it!

HULU // I love Hulu because I can watch new episodes of my favorite shows the day after they come out!  Right now I'm watching The Bachelorette, but I also usually watch Grey's Anatomy through Hulu and I want to start The Bold Type soon!

GOOGLE SHEETS // I have so many random spreadsheets to keep my life on track it's not even funny!  This way I can access my spreadsheets and make changes no matter where I am!

HAPPY COLOR // Okay I love color by number.  It's so freaking calming and I color all day every day and I am not ashamed.  This is my favorite color by number app by far and it's even better when using the Apple Pencil.  Multiple new pictures get added every day so you never run out of pics, plus there is a bonus picture a day that I also color every day because I'm obsessed.  Honestly probably my favorite app, not gonna lie.

YOUTUBE // I say it all the time but I am an avid YouTube watcher!  My new favorite way to watch YouTube is on my iPad.  I just stand it up by folding the magnetic case, and pic something new from my subscription box!  I watch it while I eat, I'll have it on in the background while I do some work, or even if I'm just chilling on my couch and need some entertainment.

NETFLIX // Pretty much the same as Hulu!  Right now I'm watching Dead to Me (so good), finishing up Gossip Girl, and season four of Queer Eye!

PINTEREST // Another app that is ten times better when used on the iPad!  I love scrolling through to get ideas for literally anything I could ever imagine.  And with the larger screen of the iPad, I can see so many more ideas and pins than if I was scrolling on my phone.

ETSY // I usually only shop on Etsy when I'm looking for gifts for someone, but it's just so much easier to use the app than to try and use a browser when looking for something on mobile instead of on a computer.

GOOGLE KEEP // I only recently started using Google Keep but it is so convenient!  It's another "note" type app where I usually keep my to do lists, shopping lists, anything a want to remember and more.  You can pin certain notes so they stay at the top of the page and even add pictures or anything you want to your notes.  I'm definitely a fan!

PROCREATE // I'm trying to learn hand lettering and calligraphy and just get better in general about being more ~artistic~ so I bought Procreate and am watching a ton of tutorials to get more familiar with it.  It is definitely a learning process but I am loving it so far!

SPOTIFY // I listen to all of my podcasts and music through Spotify so I like being able to have it on every device I can which made this an immediate download!

GMAIL // Like I said, I am a total convert to Google.  I love the GMail app because all of my email accounts are already through Google so I can see the layouts and access anything sent to me so much easier than in the Apple Mail app.

GOOGLE CALENDAR // Another recent switch for me.  All throughout college I used iCal but since I'm going to be starting ~adulting~ now, I know most things are sent by invite on Google Calendar.  My sorority even used  Google Calendar for all of our events so I don't know why I didn't use it sooner.  I'm the type of person where if it's not in my planner/calendar, then it's not happening.  Google Calendar makes this so easy with all of the color coding and daily.weekly/monthly spreads and even invites to add others.  It also syncs with my iCal so I still get the notifications and can see on my Apple Watch when I have something coming up which is super nice.

GOOGLE CHROME // I use Google Chrome on my laptop, phone, and iPad.  It's just so much better than Safari.  I just love Google in case you guys couldn't tell!

GOOD NOTES // Finally, my holy grail app.  This is pretty much the main reason I wanted an iPad!  I am now planning completely digitally since my trusty Happiness Planner is more journal and reflection based (don't worry, definitely not neglecting it!).  I will do a whole post on how I use Good Notes, but right now I have notebooks for my planner, blog, Bible studies, and notes for job search stuff.  So worth it, I am so obsessed!

Let me know if there are any other apps I should add that are great for an iPad!

xoxo, Hannah
