Working From Home Morning Routine

Image
These are some very scary times.  As someone who suffers from an anxiety and panic disorder, all of the uncertainty right now is not great for my mental health.  This is why routines are so  important, especially when all four of my family members are home all day and working from home/doing online school. These times are already scary and weird, but on top of the weirdness, I started a new job on Monday!  I am now working in the Alumni and Donor Engagement office at one of the local universities and I was so excited to start.  Well, I went in for my first day on Monday, and during the day they told everyone to start working from home the next day, Tuesday.  So throughout the week I've been doing online trainings, meetings, and offering to help in whatever way that I can.  It's definitely difficult to learn the ins and outs of a new job while working from home, but we are all figuring this out together since this is a first for everyone. So, in the...

Summer 2019 Night Routine

Image
A few weeks ago, a shared my self care summer routine, which consists of a long, drawn out morning routine.  So, since I shared how I start out my mornings, I thought it would be fun to share my night routine for this summer!  It definitely does not have as many components as my morning does, but it is a great way for me to wind down and really get ready for bed.  So without further ado, here is my summer night routine! TV TIME WITH FAMILY  // After I eat dinner with my family, we usually put something on Netflix or whatever sporting event is on that night.  We all have pretty busy schedules so this is usually our time to hang out, catch up on our day, and just spend some time together.  This is usually around 7/7:30 so this is really when my evening gets started! CHANGE INTO PAJAMAS  // Around 9/9:30 I usually head upstairs to start unwinding from my day.  I usually wear a big tee shirt from college, some comfy shorts or some joggers...

Summer Makeup Routine

Image
I feel like my skin gets a break and really thrives in the summer.  It's not super dried out like it always gets during winter, and I am wearing less makeup during the summer which I love .  I already have a pretty quick makeup routine that takes me around 15 minutes, but I've definitely downsized on the amount of products I've been putting on when it's warmer.  I can really tell a difference because everything feels so  much lighter on my face, which means my skin can breathe so much better, I'm not sweating all of my makeup off, and my skin doesn't break out as much or as often as it does when I do my normal routine.  SO, without further ado, here is what I've been using as far as makeup goes so far this summer! FOUNDATION // Tarte Amazonian Clay Tinted Press Finishing Powder OR IT Cosmetics CC Cream What I use for foundation really depends on how my skin is doing.  If I need more coverage that day, I use the IT Cosmetics CC Cream because it ...

College Morning Routine

Image
As a college student, my routine is pretty all over the place!  Some days I have early classes, and some days I have nothing until 3 pm so I stay in bed all day (it's the little things, I'm telling you).  Today I'm going to be talking about my routine that I have most often: when I have to be out the door at 8:45 am.  One day is for when I need to be at work by 9:00, and the other days are for my class at 9:00 am.  So without further ado, here is my morning! 7:00 AM  // My alarms begin to go off.  I am notorious for setting an alarm for when I need to get up, turning it off, and rolling over and going back to sleep.  Because of this, I usually have alarms set for 30 minutes before I need to get up, at 15 minute intervals.  So I have alarms set for 7:00, 7:15, and 7:30. 7:30 AM  // Shower time!  I have to shower in the mornings because other wise I feel gross all day.  I can't shower at night either because if I fall asleep wi...
