Brunch, Senior Night, and Happy New Year!
Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great and happy New Year! I had the best weekend. It was jam packed with events, but I loved being busy, and it was quite the weekend!
On Friday, my family went out to a delicious steak house to celebrate my grandpa's birthday! This place is one of our favorites, and we spend a lot of birthday dinners here!
For my salad choice, I chose one of my faves: caprese! It was absolutely delicious.
For my entree, I had a 6 oz filet mignon and mashed potatoes.
And for dessert, my all time favorite, creme brulee!
There was a special holiday cocktail that the waiter so kindly let me try. It was prosecco, pomegranate juice, and pomegranate seeds. It was absolutely beautiful and delicious!
On Saturday, I met two of my best friends from high school for coffee and crepes! Since we all go to college so far from each other, it was so nice to be able to see them and catch up, and we are already planning when we can see each other over the summer! I didn't take any pictures because I was just enjoying my time with them, but our food was absolutely delicious!
Saturday night was my brother's senior night for hockey. They took pictures of each senior with their family, and I even got to walk out onto the ice with my brother and parents for pictures during the ceremony before the game!
Each senior also had a fat head made of themselves, and we all got a kick out of seeing them!
All six of them together! My brother has been playing hockey with most of them for his whole life, and it's kind of sad that they won't be playing together anymore.
As senior family members, we got to watch the game in the upstairs party suite with sandwiches, pizza, and drinks, along with other alumni members of the high school hockey team. It was so much fun getting to watch the game up there (where it was nice and warm!) and getting to see and talk to my brother's friends, and parents of players he has played with in previous years!
After the game when we got to keep the fat heads, my mom and her best friend had to take a picture with them together. They kept saying they liked the fat heads better than the actual boys because they didn't talk back, lol!
Sunday was New Year's Eve! I spent the evening with my two best friends from high school where we had a nice and relaxing evening. We had dinner at Olive Garden, which is always a great choice! We then went and saw The Greatest Showman. Oh my god. You guys. It was amazing. Everything about it was so good and I'm still listening to the soundtrack on repeat! You need to see it!!!!!
After the movie, we came back to my friend's house where we took some cute pictures in our outfits.
My friend Logan was my "boyfriend" for the night, so we took a couples picture together!
We spent the evening playing games like What Do You Meme?, Cards Against Humanity, and Exploding Kittens. After midnight, we spent the remainder of the evening playing Never Have I Ever, before passing out for the night!
Before going home, we went and got brunch together at a place called Mimi's Cafe that was absolutely delicious! I got a bacon and avocado omelet with potatoes and a blueberry muffin.
I then went home and relaxed for the rest of the day!
I hope you all had a great weekend, and a safe and happy New Year!
xoxo, Hannah
