Christmas Decorating

Hi everyone!  Today I'm going to show you guys how my family decorated our house for Christmas.  My mom and I love Christmas and love to go all out!  We always decorate the house together, but now that I'm in college, we always have to plan out a day when I'm home to put up our tree and decorate for Christmas.  We usually try and put everything up the weekend after Thanksgiving since I am off school for break, and everything turned out beautiful!

First is our entryway.  Right when you walk in the front door of our house, we have a huge Christmas tree with white lights and a huge bow at the top.  The top of the tree goes all the way up to our second floor, and the lights are so subtle and beautiful.  It's probably my favorite tree in our house!

We also have garland, lights, and red bows going up our railing.  My great-grandma hand makes these bows and we still use them every year.  That just shows how great of a job she does!  The lights and garland match the giant tree in the foyer, giving this room such a classic Christmas vibe.

Finally, underneath our big tree is a very simple Nativity scene.  We have our large, main Nativity scene under our tree in the living room, but this small one goes with the classic Christmas vibe, and still reminds us what Christmas is truly all about.

Since we are hosting Christmas Eve this year, we went all out with our dining room table this year.  The centerpiece is a beautiful, glittery, silver reindeer sled that we find a place for in our house every year.  The red and green ornaments inside used to be put on our tree every year, but are not anymore since we now have so many ornaments from vacations, gifts, sports teams, and home made ornaments from my brother and me.  This way, we still have our classic ornaments present in our house, while showcasing all of our own personal ornaments on our tree.

On either side of the reindeer, are glittery, silver Christmas trees.  The trees perfectly match our reindeer centerpiece, and continue to give off a Christmas vibe.

Sprinkled around the red table runner are red and green bells, and marbles for a finishing touch.  My mom does this every year and it is just so cute.  It's seriously the perfect touch for a Christmas table without going over the top.

Lastly, and the most festive room of all, is our living room, complete with an animatronic Santa Claus.  Our tree is a pre-lit tree with ornaments my brother and I made in school, gifts, and ornaments we bought from vacations.  We also wrapped all of our presents finally, and those are a new addition under our tree.  We also have our full Nativity set under this tree which you can't see because of our presents.  There are also stockings for my brother, myself, and even our dog!

The cutest part of the living room is our mantle!  We have garland with blinking fairly lights along the whole mantle, and red, green, and gold beads weaved throughout.  On one side, we have gold stars and red, beaded balls to help with the Christmas vibe.  The best part: the stars have subtle glitter in them, so they sparkle with the tree lights which is so beautiful.

On the other side, we have red trees, and a cute little Santa head.  If this doesn't scream Christmas, then I don't know what does!

Although we have more decorations throughout our house, these are the most Christmasy rooms in our house, and also are some of my favorite decorations.

xoxo, Hannah
