What I Got For Christmas 2018
Happy New Year everyone! I seriously can not believe that it is 2019 already, I feel like 2018 really flew by. So much is scheduled to happen for me already in 2019 (such as graduating college...yikes!), so I am excited to see everything that this year has in store!
Although I have some New Year's post in progress, today's post is all about what I got for Christmas this year! This is in no way to brag or show off what I got. I am so lucky and blessed to have a family that is financially able to give gifts to each other. These are some of my favorite videos to watch on YouTube and posts to read on blogs, so I thought I would contribute as well.
So, without further ado, here is what I got this year!
HARRY POTTER: A HISTORY OF MAGIC // It's no secret that I am a huge Harry Potter fan. I have all seven books, all of the companion books, and more themed magazines than I can count that all have to do with Harry Potter. The entire book shelf next to my bed at home holds all of my Harry Potter stuff! So, I was ecstatic to receive this book as a gift for Christmas this year. It is a companion to the History of Magic exhibit that is currently going on at the New York Historical Society Museum and Library. The coolest part about this book is not just the deeper insight into the Harry Potter series and unseen notes and drafts from JK Rowling (which it definitely has), it also has history on actual magic things such as potions, divination, and even charms which is so so cool.
THE HAPPINESS PLANNER // This gift was a total surprise! I sent the link to this planner to my mom when I was probably a sophomore or junior in high school. It is definitely on the pricy side for a planner, so I didn't get it and honestly forgot about it. Surprisingly, my mom kept the email with the link and decided to surprise me with it for Christmas. This is the first week that I am using it and I am absolutely loving it! I can't wait to use it once I get back to school and have more going on that I can put in it. Once I'm really in a good routine with it, I'll do a blog post showcasing how I use it.
STEVE MADDEN GILLS BLACK SUEDE SNEAKERS // I have wanted these slip ons for so long! I honestly almost bought myself a pair of them as a "treat myself" gift throughout the year, but I am so glad I waited instead of spending money on them. I seriously have worn them every single day since I got them and am obsessed with them. They are so practical, comfy, and go with literally everything.
FOREO LUNA PLAY // I have seen so many people talk about this on YouTube and blog posts. I wasn't initially going to ask for it because I thought it was kind of expensive for such a little thing. But then, my skin was breaking out more and more frequently and I was looking for more help with it, and lo and behold, this little guy came into my life. I've had it for a little over a week and my skin is already so much better than before I had it. I highly recommend if you're even considering getting one!
FABFITFUN WINTER BOX // Let me tell you, FabFitFun is wicked cool. There honestly was probably more that came in the winter box, but I can't even remember. This is everything it came with:

FABFITFUN WINTER BOX // Let me tell you, FabFitFun is wicked cool. There honestly was probably more that came in the winter box, but I can't even remember. This is everything it came with:
- The blanket that everything is sitting on
- Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo: this dry shampoo is a game changer. I use it every other day, when I don't wash my hair, and it seriously feels like I just got out of the shower. 11/10 highly recommend.
- Blaq Charcoal Eye Masks: I've always wanted to try under eye masks, so I was so happy when these were in the box! I've already used them and they helped my under eye circles tremendously. I used them even when my circles are not prominent, because they just make me feel so awake and perked up in the morning.
- Do Not Age Anti-Aging Cream: I'm only 21-years-old and definitely do not have wrinkles yet, but I've been using this morning and night as aging prevention. It feels so moisturizing on my skin, and smells like eucalyptus. I am definitely a fan!
- Elevate Essential Oils: I've been using lavender essential oils for my anxiety in a roller ball so I can rub it on my wrists for when I become anxious. I've loved using it, so was so excited that these came in the box! The two scents are sweet orange and eucalyptus, and I used the Amazon Gift Card I got from my Secret Santa to buy an essential oils diffuser which I now use every single day and absolutely love.
- Ahava Hydration Cream Mask: This is the only product from the box that I have not used yet, mainly because I just have not had time to do a face mask lol. I'm so excited to try it though, because it can either be used as a mask that gets rinsed off after 3-5 min, or can be left on all night.
- Knee-High Boot Socks (which I haven't worn yet because it hasn't exactly been boot weather in STL this break.
AMAZON ECHO // Alexa is seriously my new best friend. She tells me the weather, gives me a news briefing every morning, makes lists for me, wakes me up, plays my music, reads my calendar, plays a Harry Potter quiz with me, and so much more. She's definitely one of my favorite gifts I have gotten this year! My mom is even jealous of her, and she's the owner of a Google Home!
IMPRESSIONS LED MAKEUP MIRROR // This mirror is life changing. It lights up and helps to do makeup so much better. The real kicker for this, though, is that it has a USB charger that can charge my phone or literally anything with a USB. It also has bluetooth and a speaker to play music while I do my makeup which is seriously just insane. I freaking love it so much and have a hard time doing my makeup without it now!
AMY GARDEN WEIGHTED BLANKET AND COVER // This blanket is 15 lbs. of amazingness. I have slept so much better since I've had it, and even brought it with me to Peoria over New Years and slept like a baby. All my friends were jealous of it and wanted to lay under it with me. I seriously recommend it to anyone who has anxiety or sleeping problems because it works wonders.
LULULEMON WUNDER UNDER 21" CROPPED LEGGINGS // These are totally self explanatory. Lulu Lemon leggings are life changing, and these are my first pair of Wunder Unders. I'm already in love with them and they have already been washed once...after three wears (yikes). I'm such a fan and am already looking forward to my birthday in May to ask for more Lulu Lemon!
GIFT CARDS // Lastly, I got gift cards to Panera, Ulta, Amazon, and iTunes!
I seriously had the best Christmas and New Year and am so so blessed with an amazing family who can afford to spoil my brother and I for Christmas. Happy Holidays everyone!
xoxo, Hannah
