May Favorites 2019
We are a week into June and since it's been awhile since I've done one, I thought I would write a post about what I've been loving this past month! So without further ado, here are my May favorites!
ONE // Workouts for Women App
I've never had a gym membership at home since I would only be here for a few months before going back to school and using that gym. I danced five days a week in college, and I was genuinely wondering how I would stay active now that I won't be dancing anymore. I eventually want to start trying some workout classes, but since I'm still looking for a job, I didn't want to spend the money. I heard about the Workouts for Women app in one of the Facebook groups I am in and decided to give it a try. It's completely free, has workouts divided by level and area of the body, and, the best part, it's free! I've been using the app for about three weeks now and I can already tell a difference. I feel so much stronger, get a good sweat in, and am starting to notice some more muscle definition. The workouts are so easy to do at home, and are short and intense making it easy to fit into a busy day.
TWO // Dole Salad Kits
Along with working out and staying active, I also wanted to make a point to try and eat healthy for a majority of the time. I went to the grocery store to pick up some healthy snacks and I noticed the Dole bagged salad kits. There are so many flavors, have all the ingredients, including the dressing, in the bags, and last for two days. I'll eat half the salad for lunch one day, and the other half the next and it still tastes great. Highly recommend for a quick and healthy meal!
THREE // Tone It Up Protein
I love drinking protein smoothies after working out or even for breakfast in the morning, but I wasn't really sure where to start or what protein would be good. I found one at Target called "Tone It Up" and I'm already hooked! It is so flavorful, doesn't taste cakey or chalky, and I genuinely feel like it works. There are also so many flavors! I like a plain protein powder so I got chocolate since they were out of vanilla but other flavors I saw were matcha, peanut butter, chocolate peanut butter, cafe mocha, and more. Definitely recommend if you're in the market for a new protein powder.
FOUR // YouTube
I've talked about how much I love watching YouTube on my blog before, but I've been really loving it lately. I usually get super behind on my subscriptions because I'm busy with school work or watching something on Netflix, but lately I've been on my YouTube grind. Every morning I love making a cup of coffee and some breakfast, sitting down and catching up on my subscriptions. It's been my morning ritual since I've come home from college and I'm loving it so much lately.
FIVE // Steve Madden Flatforms
I've been seeing these shoes all over Instagram and Pinterest, and have been wanting them for awhile. I went shopping with my mom and my grandma a few weeks ago and came across the shoes at Dillards. My grandma bought the blush ones for me and they've barely left my feet since! They are seriously my new favorite shoes.
SIX // Salted Cold Foam Cold Brew from Starbucks
YOU GUYS. This is such a game changer. I saw Brooke Miccio get this drink with a few modifications in one of her vlogs and decided to try it one day. It's seriously my new go-to drink! I put a picture of it on my Snapchat story and so many of my friends screenshotted it and messaged me letting me know how good it looked at that they wanted to try it. It's a definite movement and you should def join it!
SEVEN // IT Cosmetics CC Cream
This is a product I've seen people on YouTube talk about like crazy. So, when I went shopping for my birthday, I decided to try it out! It's seriously so good. It has great coverage without being too heavy and also has SPF 50 in it which makes it perfect for summer. This is definitely gonna be my foundation of the summer and I'm loving it so much!
Thanks so much for reading!
xoxo, Hannah
