Weekend in Chicago!
This past weekend, I made the 5 hour trip up to Chicago to visit some of my friends from college! We mainly went to attend the Mustache Bar Crawl in Wrigleyville, but also to hang out since we haven't really seen each other all summer.
I took the train since I didn't really want to drive the 5 hours all by myself. My first train on Friday left at 3:00pm, but I ended up getting into Chicago 2 hours late because a freight train broke down in front of us. I didn't mind being late, I just felt bad making my friend hang around the city for so long while waiting for me! We eventually met up, and we just headed back to her house to sleep and get ready for the bar crawl the next day.
Saturday morning, we got ready, picked up some of her friends from home, and headed into the city! We found a parking spot about a 10 minute drive from Wrigleyville, and took an Uber to the first bar of the day: Rizzo's!
On the way to our next bar, we obviously had to take some pictures in front of Wrigley field (even though I will forever and always be a Cardinals fan!).

We eventually needed to make a pizza stop, and settled on Dimo's which had a macaroni and cheese pizza that was amazing. It definitely helped us feel a little more clear headed!
After eating, we headed to one more bar, NOLA. This place was so fun because it was so uncrowded, like so many of the other bars. This actually ended up making it more fun because the bartender really interacted with us. He let us request whatever songs we wanted, and even gave us a microphone so we could sing along! We had such a blast, and I didn't even order anything to drink!
That night we stopped at the famous Portillo's for dinner, a definite must do when in Chicago! Sunday morning we went to brunch in the morning for bottomless mimosas before I was dropped off at the train station to head home.
I had so much fun this past weekend, and it made me even more excited to head back to school in 10 days (omg can't believe it's that soon!) and be with all my friends from school again!
