Summer Favorites

I drive back to school tomorrow morning!  It is so crazy that summer is already over, but I had a blast, and definitely had a lot of favorites this year.  So on my last day of summer, I thought I would tell you all what I have been loving recently, and what I will most likely continue to be loving going into the fall.

ONE // Chocolate Hummus

Okay, I know this sounds gross when you first read it, but let me tell you, this stuff is life changing.  We first discovered it when my family was up in Rhode Island for our summer vacation.  My family bought it and would eat it for dessert, but I was super hesitant to try it, because I definitely could not imagine a sweet hummus.  Well, folks, I was wrong.  This stuff literally tastes like brownie batter.  I love dipping pretzel crisps in it, and it is the best snack or dessert.  Shockingly, it's incredibly low in calories for the serving size, so it's great to have if you're trying to be healthier, but still want something sweet.

TWO // Smoothie Bowls

I've been eating more fruit than I usually do this summer, and a great way to get your fruit in is with smoothie bowls!  There's a place in St. Louis called Rush Bowls that was about 10 minutes from where I worked, and I loved driving there to grab a smoothie bowl for lunch.  The Dragon Bowl is awesome.  Add some granola, honey, and coconut flakes on top and it's the best lunch!  I'll definitely be including these into more of my meals at school.

THREE // Old Navy Double Strap Sandals

These shoes are amazing!  They're only $20 from Old Navy, and I've worn them almost every single day.  They come in so many different colors and designs, but I got mine in black since I needed a black sandal.  I wore them to work, wore them with my loungewear, and everything in between.  They're so comfy and a great cheaper alternative to other shoes that look exactly like it, but are way more expensive.

FOUR // Queer Eye

I knew that everyone loved this show and so many people had recommended it to me, but I had too much else to watch, so I kept putting it to the side.  When I took the train to Chicago a few weeks ago, I decided to try it since it would be an easy watch.  And, unsurprisingly, I was hooked!  The Fab Five have such a great dynamic together, and seeing all of the transformations is honestly so heart-warming.  If you still haven't started it, do it!

FIVE // Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew from Starbucks

I used to exclusively get iced caramel macchiatos from Starbucks, but lately it was just feeling like too much to me.  Too many calories, not enough coffee.  So one of my friends from school, who worked at Starbucks this summer, told me to try the sweet cream cold brew.  And I am not going back!  It's way less calories than the macchiato, and still has the coffee taste while having a little sweetness.  It's my new go to order, and I don't see it changing any time soon!

SIX // Not Your Mother's All Eyes On Me 10-in-1 Hair Perfector

I had done keratin treatment in my hair all of last year.  So when the treatment wore off, I had no idea how to care for my natural hair anymore.  I had heard a lot about Not Your Mother's, and when I saw this product at Target, I knew I had to try it.  The 10 things it says it does are adds body, strengthens, detangles, moisturizes, adds shine, controls frizz, repairs dry hair, heat protection, mends split ends, and seals cuticles.  All you have to do is spray it all over towel dried hair, brush it through, and then style or dry it as you normally would.  I can definitely see a difference in my hair since using it, and it smells awesome, too!

SEVEN // Butter Bronzer/Highlighter

So many YouTubers that I watch rave about the Butter Bronzer.  I had been using Fenty Beauty when that was all the rage, but lately I hadn't been too happy with it.  I actually switched back to my normal MAC foundation, and now use the Butter Bronzer and Butter Highlighter instead of Fenty and wow they're all amazing.  The only Fenty product I use anymore is the concealer, which I actually do really like.  But anyways, both the Butter Bronzer and Highlighter smell amazing, the packaging is beautiful, and it does the job so well.  I am so hooked on both, and won't be switching for a long time!

What are some things that you have been loving this summer?
