iPhone 8 Plus Review

Image
Hi everyone!  Today I'm talking about an early Christmas gift that I got: the iPhone 8 Plus!  When getting a new iPhone, most people have been trying to decide between the iPhone 8, or the iPhone X.  I chose the 8, so today I'm going to be letting you know what I think of it! The main reason that I wanted the 8 over the X was the home button.  I know that the face ID is new technology and is supposed to be way more secure than a finger print, I'm too used to the home button to try anything else! I got the 8 plus in the color "gold" and I really like it!  I was worried about the phone having a glass back again like the old iPhone 4 had, but it genuinely feels pretty sturdy, and not too fragile.  Plus the fact that I have a case on the back helps to make sure that the glass back is protected. The main reason I wanted the plus over the normal size is the portrait mode camera.  The phone I had before this one was the iPhone 6s and althou...

What I Got For Christmas 2017

Image
Hello everyone!  Today I am going to be sharing what I got for Christmas this year.  I've got to say that this year was one of the best I've had!  Not only gift-wise, but it was so special to be able to spend time with my family this year.  Three of my grandparents came down with the flu the week of Christmas, and we were thinking that it would end up just being my immediate family for the holiday.  Thankfully, everyone recovered and we were able to celebrate all together! Here is a little disclaimer: this post is not to show off what I got or to brag or anything.  I love reading these kinds of posts and watching these types of videos on YouTube, so I thought that this would be a fun post to do! So without further ado, here is what I got for Christmas this year! Maroon Turtle Neck // Unfortunately, I can't find this one the Target website, but that's where my mom got this from! I absolutely love this sweater and have already worn it twice since Ch...

20 Facts About Me

Image
Hi everyone!  I hope you all had a great holiday.  I definitely did!  My "What I Got For Christmas" post should be coming tomorrow, but in the mean time, I thought I would do a "20 Facts About Me" post so you can get to know me a little better.  Enjoy! 1. I am 20 years old and a junior in college. 2. I am from the Saint Louis area. 3. I'm allergic to medicines, but not any food. 4. I have been dancing since I was 2 years old and continue to dance in college. 5. I have an extra ligament on my tongue, and can't stick my tongue out. 6. I know everything there is to know about Harry Potter and have read the entire series about 10 times.  However Prisoner of Azkaban, my favorite book in the series, I have read way more than 10 times - I've actually lost count of how many times I've read it. 7. I didn't start liking coffee until sophomore year of college. 8. People hate watching my favorite movies with me because I can usually quote them word...

Christmas Outfit 2017

Image
Hello everyone and Merry Christmas!  I hope you're all spending the day with family, friends, and loved ones! Today, in honor of Christmas, I will be sharing the outfit that I wore to Christmas Eve mass this year!  This outfit is so cute, and the best part?  It's incredibly  affordable! For mass and Christmas Eve evening, I wore this gorgeous and fun black velvet dress, polka dotted tights, and grey lace up wedges.  I think velvet is a staple to wear in winter, which is why I thought that this  velvet dress from Target was perfect for Christmas.  Yes, you read that right, I got the dress from Target! Everyone who knows me know that I love  Target.  I do all of my shopping there.  Groceries, gifts, clothes, accessories...all of it at Target!  That's why when I saw this dress when browsing through the women's section, I knew that it would be perfect for Christmas mass!  And the best part?  It's only $24!  It al...

Christmas Decorating

Image
Hi everyone!  Today I'm going to show you guys how my family decorated our house for Christmas.  My mom and I love Christmas and love to go all out!  We always decorate the house together, but now that I'm in college, we always have to plan out a day when I'm home to put up our tree and decorate for Christmas.  We usually try and put everything up the weekend after Thanksgiving since I am off school for break, and everything turned out beautiful! First is our entryway.  Right when you walk in the front door of our house, we have a huge  Christmas tree with white lights and a huge bow at the top.  The top of the tree goes all the way up to our second floor, and the lights are so subtle and beautiful.  It's probably my favorite tree in our house! We also have garland, lights, and red bows going up our railing.  My great-grandma hand makes these bows and we still use them every year.  That just shows how great of a job she doe...

Christmas Cookie Baking

Image
Hi everyone! As the holidays are drawing nearer (just 2 more days!), it is officially time for my family to make some Christmas cookies!  We are hosting Christmas Eve at my house this year, so there is definitely a lot to be done.  Every year, it usually ends up just being my mom and I actually baking the cookies while my dad and brother end up being the taste testers! We made 4 different types of cookies, and first up were sugar cookies!  Since we had a lot to do today, we decided not to use cut outs for these, but instead we made normal, circular cookies, and then decorated them. While my mom started the next batch, peanut butter blossoms, my dad and I started to decorate the sugar cookies.  We used red, green, and white Betty Crocker icing, and a plethora of different types of Betty Crocker sprinkles. My dad even wanted to get in on the fun and helped me bake while my mom was mixing some dough for the next ones. As you can se...
