Current Favorites

We technically aren't in quarantine anymore, but we're still staying at home and I'm still working from home so that means I am spending a lot of money from online shopping!  I'm seriously addicted to Amazon and at this point whenever my favorite influencers post something they're loving I buy it immediately.  It's a problem.

SO I thought it would be about time to do a current favorites post since I haven't done one in a LONG time and tell you what products and items out of the many I have purchased recently I'm obsessed with.  Hope you enjoy!

(Moscow Mule from the past weekend; first cocktail not at home in months, outdoor, and socially distant!)

Rae Wellness Pre + Probiotic // Not to get too TMI, but I've always struggled with gut health.  Whether it be bloating, being regular, and just what I'm eating in general, my gut health has just not been where it should be.  I've seen these supplements at Target and I've always been a little curious.  But then one of my favorite content sites, The Everygirl, posted about this brand and how great the supplements were, I decided to go for it.  I'm telling you, I noticed a difference within days.  I was not as bloated, my stomach didn't heart after I ate anything, and I wasn't feeling as sluggish and lethargic.  I will definitely keep taking these and will be trying out more of their products as needed!

Peloton Digital App // I want to do a more in-depth post about this, but I posted last November about going to my first spin class and how much I loved it.  I was going to a locally owned studio near me and was so excited that I had finally found a workout that I loved since stopping dance after I graduated from college.  However, because of COVID-19, my spin studio has closed for good.  I've been working out all of quarantine but I pretty much get tired of the types of workouts I do every few weeks.  A few weeks ago, I saw a post in a Facebook group I'm in talking about buying a cheaper bike on Amazon and then using the Peloton digital app.  Long story short, I've had the bike for two and a half weeks and I'm obsessed.  Peloton is amazing so you still get the experience without paying a fortune for the bike itself.  I'll do a more in depth post for this but long story short, best purchase of the entire year so far.

The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA // This was an impulse purchase for sure.  I've been struggling with my skin so much the past few months and no matter I've been doing, nothing has been working.  So far, the only products that make me feel somewhat normal are from The Ordinary.  I've had the moisturizer for less than a week and I can already feel a difference in how my skin looks and feels.  It is so light and makes my face feel SO soft, and my redness and pigmentation scars aren't as prominent.  I feel like I've tried everything and this has given me the biggest results once I added it into my routine.  It's truly the best thing ever.

Ghost Chips Ahoy Protein Powder //  I am so picky when it comes to protein powder.  I tried the Alani Nu powder and no matter what flavor I tried I just did not like it.  I was about to just give up on protein powder in general, but decided to try one last one before giving up.  Someone I follow on TikTok is obsessed with Ghost and someone I follow on Instagram is an ambassador so that's what I went with.  Oh my gosh, it's the best protein powder I have ever tried.  I've made protein pancakes with it, protein coffee, protein shakes, and, my personal fave, protein overnight oats.  I make them literally every single night and then eat them in the morning after I spin.  Pretty sure I finished the whole thing in less than a month and I'm going out today to get some more.

Libby App // I've been sharing my reads on here for awhile, but usually what happens is I just go to Amazon and by the Kindle version of whatever book I want to read next.  I've had an account with Libby since that's the app that my local library uses, but I barely checked it because there's usually a long wait for the book that I want.  Well, for some reason this past weekend I decided to go to the "popular books" section of the app and place a hold on a ton of books that I wanted to read.  Well, now I'm on my fourth book in six days because of this and not complaining!  I haven't paid for a book in so long and I'm cruising through books!  My goal on GoodReads was to read 30 books in 2020 and I'm currently on book 29 and August isn't even over yet!  I slept on Libby for way too long, and honestly the books are available way quicker than the wait time typically says.  Plus if you don't have time to read the book right then, you can pass and give it to the next person in line, and you'll get the next available copy.  I'm so looking forward to the books that I have lined up!  Highly recommend using this or whatever app your local library uses, as long as you have a library card.

Girls Night In Newsletter //  I love a good newsletter!  I get theSkimm every morning, Carly the Prepster seven days a week, and The Newsette Mon-Fri.  For some reason, that's still not enough for me, so I subscribed to Girls Night In! I've heard a few people that I follow mention this to me, but I put it off for awhile.  I'm glad I have it now, though!  This comes to your inbox every Friday morning and gives some awesome suggestions!  It starts out with an editor or guest editor letter about something that happened or they loved throughout the week.  Followed by a product, show, podcast, or whatever else from each member of the GNI team.  Then a cocktail or food recipe to make over the weekend.  And finally, a section for reads (normally online articles about relevant information), what to watch, and what to listen to this weekend.  There's a lot of self care ideas as well, and I always love to get new ideas of things to do or content to consume.  Love this newsletter so much and definitely recommend if you're into this type of stuff as well!

xoxo, Hannah
