College Day in My Life: Wednesday February 28

Some of my favorite videos to watch on YouTube are "Day/Week in My Life" videos.  Most of the YouTubers I watch are also college students, so seeing their routines, outfits, and meals helps give me some inspiration for my own day.  Because I love watching them so much, I thought I would try writing blog posts about the previous day in case anyone else would benefit from these inspirations.  Because I decided on this today and I don't have anything except videos from yesterday, there won't be any actual pictures from yesterday and today, but tomorrow I will start taking pictures of my outfits, food, and more!

My Wednesdays always start bright and early! I usually get up around 6:30 because I have dance practice at 7am.  But I didn't end up getting out of bed until 6:45 because I ended up turning all of my alarms off in my sleep...so I had to quickly get ready, pack my bag, and head out the door!

My morning dance practices are a group of us from my usual dance group who missed doing competitions, so we practice in the morning with a brand new dance to use at a competition in March! It's so much fun and I haven't competed in around 6 years, so I'm so excited to get back into it!

After a successful dance practice, I quickly changed out of my sweaty clothes, put on some deodorant and perfume, and headed to my car to drive to Starbucks for some breakfast before work.  I mobile ordered while I was changing so that it would be ready for me when I got there.  I was only 3 stars away from gold level, so I for sure needed to treat myself yesterday.  I got my usual: venti iced caramel macchiato with coconut milk and a piece of the iced lemon poundcake.

I left my car in the Starbucks parking lot (which you're not supposed to do...whoops) and walked across the street to my work.  I work on campus in our Continuing Education Department as a student secretary, so during my shift I did some calls, entered some paperwork, and ate my breakfast.

My shift got done at 11, and then I got in my car to go meet one of my room mates at a coffee shop to do some studying.  It was such I nice day, so I drove with the windows down and my sunglasses on! I spent a few hours studying and getting some work done, while also getting an iced tea and a piece of avocado toast which was delicious!

At 3pm, I headed to Target to get a couple of groceries for the week.  Spring Break starts in a week (thank goodness) so I only grabbed a couple of things to hold me over until I can really go shopping after break.  I've been trying to eat a little healthier so I got some almond milk, almond butter, English muffins, and yogurt to help me out throughout the coming week.

Technically I had class at 3:30, but I decided to skip it (for the first time all semester, don't judge!) so I could get some shopping done.  I also hopped in the shower since I had dance in the morning and hadn't been home yet.  After my shower, I made myself a snack of an English muffin with almond butter and watched some YoutTube videos.  When I was finished, I mopped around the down stairs since my house at school has hardwood floors and it was starting to look kind of dirty.

It was my room mate's 21st birthday yesterday, so a couple of us were going out to dinner to celebrate.  One of our friends, Taiylor, came over early to get ready with us before we were supposed to meet the others.  I blow dried and straightened my hair, got dressed, and did some makeup.  Once everyone came to our house, we went to dinner.

My room mate decided on a Mexican place called Cayenne for dinner.  She celebrated with a sangria which she said was amazing!  For dinner, I got the "choose 3" special which is two tacos of any choice and a side.  I got the mac and cheese taco and a buffalo chicken taco with a side of rice which was absolutely delicious.

A few doors down is an ice cream shop that I had never been to before, but hey who can turn down ice cream?  I got a kid's scoop of the peanut butter Oreo flavor and let me tell you, it was delicious!  We sat around and talked for awhile before deciding to call it a night and head home.

My room mates always make fun of me for how early I go to bed because I'm a grandma, but even though it was a little after 9pm, I got into my pajamas, got ready for bed, and listened to a podcast until I finally fell asleep.

Since I have no pictures or anything from yesterday, here is a picture from the first day of the semester of my room mate, Malia, and our friend Taiylor:

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed posts like this!
